INNCOM Elects Ambassador Ulric Haynes to Board of Directors

Old Lyme, Connecticut - INNCOM International, Inc., the global leader in integrated guestroom systems recently announced the election of Ambassador Ulric Haynes, Jr. to its Board of Directors at its Annual Shareholders Meeting held in New York City. “We are very pleased to have an individual of Ambassador Haynes’ stature join our Board,” stated Duane Buckingham, President of INNCOM. “He brings with him an in depth knowledge of the international community and a wealth of general business experience.”
Presently the Executive Dean for University International Relations at Hofstra University, Hempstead, NY, Haynes is responsible for globalizing the university's focus and functions. He is also involved in developing international conferences, increasing foreign student representation in the student body, and identifying student internship and placement opportunities with global businesses and developing international fund-raising sources. Mr. Haynes previously served as the Executive Dean of the Hofstra University Frank G. Zars School of Business.
Preceding his position at Hofstra, Haynes was Senior Vice President for Drake Beam Morin, Inc, New York City, where he handled the marketing of the full range of the firm's consulting services domestically and internationally. Earlier in his career, Haynes was appointed the American Ambassador to Algiers where he improved Algerian-American relations, mobilized Embassy resources to assist in negotiating the release of the hostages in Iran, and improved relations between the U.S. and Algeria. Haynes also served as a staff member of the National Security Council at the White House, as Officer in charge of South West Africa and High Commission Territory Affairs at the U.S. Department of State in Washington, D.C., as assistant to the representative of the Ford Foundation in Lagos, Nigeria and Tunis, Tunisia, and as Administrative Officer at the U.N. European Office in Geneva, Switzerland. Haynes began his career as Executive Assistant to the N.Y. State Department of Commerce, Albany, NY.
Ambassador Haynes holds a BA from Amherst College and a JD from Yale University Law School. He attended The Advanced Management Program at Harvard University Business School and also attended the Cornell University School of Labor Relations. Haynes has had articles published in sources ranging from the Harvard Business Review to The New York Times. He has served as Director, Member and Honorary Chairman on numerous boards and advisory councils, garnered a variety of awards and is listed in seven Who's Who directories, as well as Men of Achievement and Community Leaders of the World. Haynes is married with two children.
