INNCOM Debuts Energy Management for Split Unit HVAC Systems

NIANTIC, CT – August 20, 2003 – INNCOM announces the development of new energy management software designed to control split unit HVAC systems. The software, included in all INNCOM designed energy management systems, gives hotel owners control over a system previously beyond the reach of current energy management technologies.
Typical split unit systems feature an outdoor compressor as well as an indoor component that’s mounted near the ceiling in the hotel room, out of reach and therefore difficult to easily change temperature settings. Previously, the only way to reset a room’s temperature was by hand or with a remote control provided by the original system manufacturer.
Now INNCOM is able to use its existing IR thermostat technology to control these devices from within a guestroom or automatically from the hotel’s PMS. The software provides hotel owners with energy management and more control for these types of systems.
