INNCOM Purchases Connecticut Facility for New Corporate Campus
August 1, 2001
Old Lyme, CT - August 21, 2001 - INNCOM international, inc., announced today the acquisition of a 31,000-square-foot building in East Lyme, Connecticut, that will serve as its new corporate headquarters as well as a facility for applications engineering, light manufacturing, and customer service. In addition to a modern glass and stone building, the acquisition includes 17 acres of prime land adjacent to scenic Four Mile River Road.
CEO and founder Duane Buckingham said, "Very simply, we ran out of space at our present location. Our sales have tripled over the past 24 months, and staff has doubled to 60 employees. The new building will not only accommodate our present needs but also allow room for expansion."
"The new premises are within two miles of Route 95 and dead center between Boston and New York City. As importantly, the East Lyme location provides us with access to a highly qualified labor pool in southeastern Connecticut," Buckingham added.
The company will continue to maintain its 15,000-square-foot Engineering Center in Fairfield, New Jersey. That facility is principally dedicated to research and development activities and is well situated for that purpose in the greater New York metropolitan area.
"While INNCOM's broad charter is to create systems that enhance the guest experience in hotels, the energy crisis has provided a tremendous boost to our sales," said Rick Quirino, Vice President of Sales and Marketing. "We have developed the most advanced, cost-competitive energy management systems for hotels existing anywhere in the world today. Now, with a best of breed product, 15 years of dedicated experience in the lodging market, and a global need to reduce energy consumption, we are extremely well positioned for the future."
