This means housekeeping doesn't waste time bothering guests still in their rooms, maintenance knows a light bulb is out before a guest has time to complain about it, and HVAC and lighting are never wasting energy in unoccupied areas.
To accomplish top efficiency, individual INNCOM guestroom devices detect occupancy, receive requests from guests and hotel staff, and communicate with one another and the central server, enabling the IRAS to quickly and effectively indentify, report and respond to each situation.
Energy Management
Energy is the lodging industry's second-greatest operating cost, with the biggest energy hogs being heating, cooling and lighting. INNCOM energy management solutions reduce guestroom heating, cooling and lighting energy waste using methods that are imperceptible to guests. Our solutions range from low-cost, standalone products to advanced, centrally-controlled systems that can involve lighting and drape controls, as well as situation alerts and property data collecting and reporting.
In a simple, standalone system, the INNCOM e4™ Smart Digital Thermostat with occupancy detection accurately determines when to switch to energy-saving setbacks - and when to switch back. However, only minimum installation is required to link our smart digital thermostats - and other in-room devices - to a central computer for maximum energy conservation. A comprehensive INNCOM Energy Management System has deeper setbacks for rooms that are unrented, as opposed to just unoccupied, and will typically reduce heating and cooling run times by 20 - 30%.
Staff Services
Guest status reporting allows staff to execute their tasks more efficiently and without ever disturbing the guests. INNCOM's Integrated Room Automation Systems provide expedient notification of guest requests - Privacy/Make-Up-Room, butler, valet, food tray removal, emergency response, and more - directly to staff via a variety of in-room interface options, including tabletop consoles, wall switches, and the e4™ Smart Digital Thermostat.
INNcontrol II™, a fully automated guestroom control and communication system, gathers and manages the information from intelligent INNCOM room devices. Data is automatically processed by advanced INNCOM client/server software to generate notifications, data and reports for use by housekeeping, engineering, security and other hotel staff. For example, housekeeping can target rooms that are actually empty, room service can impeccably time delivery of champagne and fruit baskets to VIP's, and engineering can quickly swap out air filters as soon as a group of rooms becomes unoccupied. For even better guest service, INNcontrol II™ optional tracking software affords the property the ability to track and record requests for the purpose of trend analyses and CRM.
